Splitting Nails

Splitting Nails are nails which involves longitudinal (across the length of the nail) splits or ridges in the nail plate

Precipitating factors for splitting nails include:

  • The repetitive wetting and drying of the hands
  • Direct contact with chemicals (nail polish remover)
  • Trauma to the nail
  • Onychomycosis and fungal infections
  • Age related due to decrease of circulation
  • Underlying health conditions
  • Inflammatory nail conditions such as eczema

 

HOW TO USE RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS

EVENING ROUTINE

  • We recommend that a hot oil treatment is done 5 times a week.
  • Here is where, the serum bottle is dipped into a bowl of hot water for 10 Minutes.
  • Squeeze a pea size amount of the cuticle salve to the cuticle area and massage it gently.
  • Using the dropper, drop 1 drop of Strengthening nail Serum oil directly at the tip of the nail.
  • Slip into the Jada treatment gloves (included with every bottle) for an overnight treatment.
  • Gloves should be worn for at least 4 hours; however, for best results we recommend that one sleeps in gloves every day for the first 1 month.

Use is ONCE daily IN THE EVENING.

  • Visible results will be in 60 Days of consistent use of the products.
  • File and buff the natural nails using the Jada Nano File once a week to seal the layers of the nail plate.
  • Finally apply a coat of Jada Super Base Coat after the filing and buffing to help reduce on the splitting.
